Icon for Vocations

Recently at Holy Trinity Church Holbeach, the Director of Vocations for Nottingham Diocese Rev David Cain, paid us a visit. He presented the church with an Icon for parishioners to take home for a week and pray for vocations, then put their name on the back of it and return it to the church for the next person.

I have just had the Icon for a week and if anyone would like a picture of the Icon then contact me via the web page under  ''Andrew and Gabrielle."

Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Holbeach - Summer Fayre

The fete went well with lots of coloured bunting all round the outside of the church and garden. We had lovely Irish music playing loudly, and some people did a bit of a dance.

There was a plant stall, two tombollas, raffle, bottle stall , brick a brack, books and toys, cakes and tea and scones, also a game of '' hit the rat'' and roll-a-ball which had a monetary prize for the highest score and that was won by the altar boy Andrew Hopkins.

A jolly time was had by all, lots of people dropped in including Fr. Jim's dad.
