St Norbert's Catholic Primary School is the only Catholic school in Spalding. Our unique character is based on our strong links between home, school and parish. Our history too is based on our founders, the Norbertine Order, serving the community from 1800 till 2008. We area very popular school and continue to grow and serve the needs of all of our community. Families travel from various villages surrounding Spalding and Holbeach.
Our present site was blessed and opened on 28th June 1962 by Rt. Rev. Edward Ellis DD. Bishop of Nottingham. We have grown over the years and have five classrooms with mixed year groups in each. Our children continue to succeed in all areas of school life as our recent Ofsted Inspection stated Feb 2007:
`St Norbert's is a good school.' 'It is a warm Christian community that welcomes each individual pupil. Parents value the positive family' atmosphere and this is one reason that many choose the school for their children, even if it means travelling some distance.' 'A strong feature of the school's work is the personal development and well-being of pupils, which is good. Very good relationships result in pupils working hard and feeling valued by the staff and by each other. Pupils are cared for well. Attendance is good because pupils enjoy school and want to be there.'
