"This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad." As though there were no other day worth mentioning. As though this were the first day. As though this were the last. "Let us celebrate the feast," Paul tells us. The Magdalene returned to the tomb--and at least one exegete suggests that she did so, not so much to anoint Jesus (as Mark and Luke insist), but because she remembered what Jesus had said about rising--and she believed it!

PARISH FINANCE: Last weekend you gave: Spalding: £1,163.29 The second collection for The Elizabeth Ministry realised: £154.93  Holbeach: £217.155 The Second collection for the Elizabeth Ministry realised: £52.45  ‘Thank you’.

THE COLLECTION TAKEN AT THIS WEEKEND IS YOUR PERSONAL GIFT TO FR. JIM

FR. JIM WRITES: Happy Easter, everyone! I wish to record my personal thanks to Fr. Pat for coming back to help us over Holy Week and for his ministry in Holbeach. Once again the list of people to be thanked is endless, so thank you one and all for your participation in the various services and the help and support you provide.  May the blessing of the risen Lord Jesus be upon us all!
