This weekend we welcome THE VERONA FATHERS who are here to make a MISSION APPEAL. A second collection will be taken at every Mass this weekend, please be as generous as you possibly can be at this time.
We also welcome the return of Fr. Andreas, who will celebrate the 11.00am Mass this weekend.
On Monday we celebrate the Feast of St. Norbert and we welcome the return of Bishop Malcolm amongst us. The bishop is spending most of the day with us – in the afternoon he will visit St. Norbert’s School and bless the new extension. In the evening he will have dinner with the deanery priests in our hall before celebrating Mass at 7.00pm in honour of St. Norbert and to mark the completion of the work in church following the fire. Please come along and join us for Mass and tea and coffee in the hall.
FR. JIM WRITES: This coming Wednesday marks the end of my third year with you. I just want to record my thanks to you all for the kindness and support you have given me during that time; thanks, too to those who challenge me – the past few months have been particularly difficult in many ways. Our committees have gone through big changes which have forced prompt responses, sincere thanks to those who have stepped up to offer their help, but we still need more volunteers to help us. I am very grateful to Bishop Malcolm for appointing Fr. Paul to help me, and I also want to thank Fr. Paul for agreeing to come to us. Aware of my own shortcomings, I wish to apologise to anyone who might feel that I have let them down, or those who I have unknowingly offended in any way. I will celebrate Mass for our intentions this Wednesday evening – I hope you can join me.
PARISH FINANCE: Last weekend you gave – Spalding: £744.11; Holbeach: £206.03, second collection: £121.88; Thank you.
THANK YOU: The new missals and the Book of the Gospels required for Spalding have all been donated – many thanks to those who have contributed.
